Well as part of my re-animated love of Necromunda and getting my gang ready as some of you may know is AdMech (Radicals), I've decided to do a kind of backround/game battle rep first person angle tale....or thats the idea!
So I'll be doing parts of an ongoing story, and merging it with some battle reports from the up and coming campaign I'll be partaking in. Hopefully It will read well and I wont die in the first few games!
So, without further delay, here is my short story/intro....hope you enjoy it.

“You seem awfully sure of this” I remarked at the whirring light show and insistent beeping over my right shoulder, “Just how you came to know about this still staggers me”
A further round of chattering, colours and thrumming notes, though this seemed more an attempt at re-assurance.
“Yes, yes, yes, I know you have not put me wrong so far, though your aptitude in this venture is proving difficult. Your Intel is often inaccurate and your sources outdated”
This seemed to huff my companion somewhat, although I felt the action was of the proof that lay in the small antechamber just behind me. Despite the, complications, the source material I had acquired via my companions assistance had led me to everything I had acquired. Granted this meant clashing with local authorities, less than noble individuals and many of Xenos origin. Having to deal with anyone was toxic at times to me, but by a variety of means, I had acquired the items, and now worked at unravelling this enigma.
“You do realise that finding this is akin to an old Terra saying regarding small punctilious items in vast fields of edible matter that have been rolled into drum like tombstones?” A tilt, almost curious and almost mocking…I swear if there were eyebrows they’d have at least one raised.
Genetor Calistarius...would that name survive millennia like that of countless other champions of the Imperium? Would it strike a course of history like no other seen in times long lost and fought over? The tomes, tablets and trinkets I had collected were a force that could see entire planets even systems brought to dust and ruin. And here they were, all mine. I turned my head, scanning the walls and recesses of this small library of such history and knowledge. I’d read a few of these tomes, most still requiring hours, weeks maybe months on a cogitator to translate and comprehend.
Turning back to the terminal before me, my hands circled and crossed the screen, absorbing words, images, icons, symbols. Many of these I'd had to invent somewhat, taken from the scriptures or markings found on some of the items I had acquired. The cogitator had a hard time with this often, rebelling as if they hurt its machine spirit.
I drew my eyes to one particular section of the terminal, showing a simple star map ,our destination no less. Archived information indicated in times this system had held populations numbering billions of His kind. Granted some of them may have an extra limb or two, perhaps an extra optical enhancement or toughened carapace that counts as skin. The last notion made me scowl, catching myself in reflection in the terminal. My companion seemed to sense this change, my stature had given me away.
“Don't even start with that” I quipped quickly, hoping to interrupt any notion of communication. Alas I did not have that luck. My companion informed me we were nearing our destination.
I dragged the request up on the cogitator. Peering through to the flight chamber with the navigator twitching, the planet slowly came into view through the shield-screen. It almost looked barren, small pockets of darkened area's seemed to be most noticeable, though whether these were inhabited or not was but a fleeting detail of the potential prize of my excursion. The cogitator burst into life, dragging data streams from the planets mainframe of systems. This brought me a small amount of pleasure that perhaps at least some machine spirit was still active on the surface.......

“Necromunda.......” Revealed at last....
Simply speaking the name out loud provoked my companion into beeps and clicks.
“I'm guessing we aren't going to simply be able to ask for this item?”
My companion tilted its....well head I suppose
“First, prepare the codes in case we are scanned, I'd prefer not to blown into specks of dust, the blessing of the Omnissiah saved us last time! Second, begin awakening my entourage, Finally once certain we are presenting the correct codes ready us for descent into orbit and planet fall. I expect a landing site close to our target” With its tasks assigned, I watched as my orders were obeyed.
I'd liberated my companion from a planet from the Xenos species known as Tau from the Eastern Fringes. He, though no sex can be determined but shall be referred, is a drone. He represents a travesty heresy, fear and banned technology of the Imperium, for he possesses AI. Yet his valuable assistance in my cause I cannot refute, surely this technology can provide benefits if handled correctly, it has benefited the Tau to no discerning effect. I may have to question its own intentions in this endeavour before the end is fulfilled however, but that's not an immediate worry.
Now...towards a world that held fate the galaxy had yet to even fathom, our descent into orbit and my elevation into history...
